Puerto del Rosario is the capital of Fuerteventura and is more a commercial centre than a tourist one and it has only a few hotels and apartments. Consequentially the UK tour operators do not go to the town
Location of Puerto del Rosario
- Located on the east coast of Fuerteventura
- A few miles north of the Fuerteventura airport
- And south of the main tourist resort Corralejo

A short walk south from Puerto del Rosario is the white sands of Playa Blanca beach. The beach is around half a mile long and at buzy times there are lifeguards. There can be Strong currents so check the flag colour green rfor safe, red no swimming and amber a sign for good swimmers only and who should take extra care
