Description
San Antonio Town is the 2nd largest town on Ibiza and is the liveliest resort on the island. San Antonio is located on the West of the island and buzzes with activity which is non-stop from June to September. There's a small beach on the edge of town and plenty more can be reached by water taxi or ferry. Out of season the resort is much less noisy and appeals to a broader range of people as a lively spot when other resorts are quiet.
North of San Antonio Town is San Rafael - famous for its beautiful pottery. Alternatively, head out to sea for an unforgettable boat trip around the island. You can take an island cruise from the town harbour or explore the many coves down the western side. A sunset sailing trip from the town is the perfect place to start a relaxing evening.
The resort area known as San Antonio Bay is less frantic than its namesake across the harbour, but offers non-stop fun for families and young people. The Bay tends to attract a wider cross-section of people. Its beaches are better than the town's and it's still very convenient for the town's nightlife. It's lively here, but doesn't quite reach the dizzy heights of the town's truly party atmosphere.
Beaches
If the narrow beach on the edge of San Antonio Town doesn't appeal, there are plenty more to chose from around the island.
Try Calo des Moro, just 1km away, or hop on a Water taxi to one of the many others such as the stunning Cala Bassa or Cala Conta beaches.
Watersports are widely available in high season. There are a few small and gently sloping beaches in the resort of San Antonio Bay, offering water-sports in high season.
Shopping
San Antonio Bay is ideal for souvenir shopping and beach wear, however, San Antonio Town offers a greater selection of local ceramics and leather goods for the more serious shopper, plus there's a fantastic selection of designer wear, sports goods and jewellery.
San Antonio & Ibiza Town are the best bet for your designer gear.
Nightlife
With its (well-deserved) reputation for fantastic, nightlife, this little Mediterranean gem has rather more to offer. Sure, San Antonio rocks with its famous clubs and sunset bars, but elsewhere there is colourful scenery, endless beautiful beaches and charming tradition. Welcome to the real Ibiza.
San Antonio - the club capital of the universe - boasts big clubs, big name DJs and the best music. The fun centres around the fountain area and West End where bars aboundand is the place to be for party animals, with over 150 bars and clubs in one street! The Bay is still very convenient for the town's nightlife: buses and ferries circle the bay, and bicycles and cars can be hired. San Antonio Town centre has a variety of bars and clubs, while those seeking a more relaxed atmosphere will be content with what San Antonio Bay has to offer.
Music
Ibiza has a bit of something for everyone. There is a big dance scene, but if this is not your thing then the West End drips in cheese! There are also some decent R’n’B nights. The clubs are a lot different offering exclusive up to date tunes ranging from mellow & fresh to funky & hard.

Restaurants
There is a wide selection of restaurants in both the Bay and the Town, catering for all tastes. Why not try some traditional Ibicencan fayre, such as fresh fish stew cooked in a gigantic pot on a fire of pinewood, washed down with some local Sangria? Gourmet restaurants to suit a variety of tastes with both international and local cuisine are available, as well as a number of fastfood outlets and lively bars - it's all here.
Water Taxis
Try something different and use the water taxi. These are small white boats in both Ibiza Town and San Antonio that stop at different points of the harbour.
